Under the overall guidance of Country Programme Director (CPD) of UNIFEM and supervision of Senior Programme Coordinator (SPC), the consultant will be responsible for following: Summary of Key Functions: - Close collaboration with UNIFEM programme team, PCO, FBS, and MoWD on implementation of recommendations from the review of data processes and systems.
- Follow up on the SGIB and to provide assistance to Population Census Organization in the smooth implementation of SGIB processes.
- Ensuring implementation of the SAARC Gender Initiative Base in close collaboration with PCO.
- Identification of areas for support and interventions and to follow up on agreed work plan developed in consultation with SGIB focal point/PCO.
- Ensuring effective management of the SGIB work plan. Supporting PCO in developing and implementing surveys around
ü Feminization of Poverty; ü Violence Against Women (esp. trafficking); and ü Health including HIV/AIDS - Providing TA and support to the UNIFEM programme team working around Gender Responsive Budgeting and harmonization of indicators
- Follow up on GRB, harmonization of indicators and Gender Monitoring Strategy and entry points for UNIFEM from existing review.
- Provide technical inputs to UNIFEM programme team around gender score cards and related researches/studies.
Deliverables: - Detailed work plan on SGIB work in collaboration with PCO and TA to GRB and harmonization of indicators

Required Skills
Minimum ten years experience working on the similar assignments
Master degree in social sciences focus on gender issues considered an asset;
Strong communication and writing skills in English.
