Minimum Education:
Intermediate
Degree Title:
Completed higher secondary education, supplemented by formal training through university courses in computer science.
Minimum Experience:
6 Years(Six years progressively responsible experience in computer information management work, including data processing applications, database, multi-user network and telecommunications, hardware/software installation, user assistance and end-user documentation in support of office computerisation.)
1. Assist with the introduction and technical operation of organisational computer applications. 2. Assist in arranging for and/or perform training and support for computerisation in the office. 3. Assist in administering the office multi-user network and other data and telecommunications facilities. 4. Assist in the installation of new hardware and software. 5. Maintain the inventory of computer equipment and software. 6. Provide necessary assistance to staff members in the operation of UNICEF standard computer applications and in resolving minor hardware/software problems. 7. Perform preventive maintenance of computer equipment (i.e., servicing of computers, printers and accessories). 8. Any other duties as specified by the supervisor.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of written and spoken Eglish. Fluency in the local language is an asset.
OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES (Indicate what other skills and attributes required, such as drafting ability, organisational or analytical skills.)
Detailed knowledge of software packages most frequently used in office
automation systems, microcomputer technology, database, data communications
and telecommunications. Expertise in UNICEF standard applications is an asset.Training skills are an advantage for this post.
