Job Description

The successful candidates can be placed in either of the below mentioned positions;

Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta,based on organizational needs;

Configure, maintain and operate the communications infrastructure (WAN) in the Country Office and all four sub-offices with connectivity to New York Headquarters.

Administer and maintain communication equipment including but not limited to Portable Satellite devices (phones, data modems etc), VHF, HF, satellite and wireless systems.

Work closely with the Operations, Emergency and Security Officer for the management of emergency operations and staff security networks.

With the guidance of the ICT Officer and in cooperation with the Regional Telecom Officer, analyses and determines telecommunications requirements and submit proposals that can efficiently support UNICEF Programme delivery.

Ensures a smooth messaging system among all users at both the Country Office level and in the vehicles using VHF./HF. On a day to day basis will also assist the ICT Officer, in actively manage stock of equipment and roster of available telecommunications staff to support UNICEF emergency offices and operations.

Administer and maintain network infrastructure in the country office (LAN) and provide support to zonal offices for smooth and uninterrupted operations of the network systems.

Required Skills

LANGUAGES
Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
Fluency in the local language is an asset.
