PURPOSE OF THE POST
Under the supervision of PM Officer (Information Management), responsible to support the PM Officer in consolidation of management reports based on information gathered from programme sectors for use by the CMT, senior management and for external use. The Information Management Officer will also support the PM Officer in maintaining and monitoring the schedule of all reports, ensuring the timely provision of contribution related information for Situation Reports (SitReps) and other mandatory and special reports. He/She will also be responsible to update Development Assistance Database (DAD) required by Govt of Pakistan and UN One View database required by the UN RC Office.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the office in contribution management by ensuring that all grant related information (agreements, reports, important emails, etc.) is available in the country office and up to date.
Support the Reporting and Resource Mobilization Units by providing financial reports and coordinating with programme sections in the development of reports and fundraising documents.
Track contributions received from the Pak One Fund and liaising with the RC’s Office and UNICEF programmes to ensure that future reporting requirements are understood and met in a timely manner. Setup and keep updated work sheets that monitor UNICEF’s income and expenditure on One UN Programme by SPA, outcome and output for reports to Resident Coordinator office.
Data management on the Government’s Development Assistance Database (DAD) and the UN’s One View financial reporting systems. Liaise with UNICEF and UNOCHA HQs to ensure that contribution data reported on UNOCHA’s Financial Tracking System (FTS) is correct and up to date. All three systems are utilized to produce official reports on the development activities carried out in Pakistan.
Mapping of on-going UNICEF’s activities in Pakistan to be used by the programme sections for preparation of funding proposals, briefing notes and donors reporting and other related areas. Activities carried out in 2010 & 2011have already been mapped and this project will continue throughout the country programme. This information has been in great demand by the programmes and by the reporting unit.
Support the office in case of emergency response by supporting in general coordination and by providing technical support in need assessments such as;
· PDA programming,
· Training of enumerators, and
· Data analysis.
Required Skills
LANGUAGES
Fluency in spoken English and Urdu. Excellence in written English. Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset.
COMPETENCIES
Proven skills in data analysis, data presentation, and information management, including mapping of programme interventions/spatial analysis to support the management in decision making.
Proven skills in database management, programming Ability to organize and implement training, with specific reference to data collection and rapid assessments during emergencies.
Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form.
Computer skills, including SPSS, CSPro, DevInfo, internet navigation, and various office applications.
