The World Health Organization invites applications to support the Health System and Policy Unit created in the Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan, to facilitate the development of Health System strategic plans of action, provide Health System Strengthening (HSS) technical advisory support and capacity building support to the Health Sector, conduct Health System monitoring and evaluation and ensure proper coordination of HSS interventions in the country by utilizing support from the government and its development partners such as GAVI to build sustainability for HSS. The M& Evaluation Specialist will: 1) Develop a monitoring and evaluation framework for health system policies in Pakistan 2) Oversee and monitor health system development plans and interventions and initiate/conduct evaluations 3) Assist and support the Ministry of Departments of Health in building M&E capacity in the Health System dimension. Preference will be given to candidates having previous working experience in a UN agency involved in public health interventions and/or those having authorship or co-authorship of papers published in indexed public health journals. Government officers are eligible to apply provided they observe all the formalities. Their selection shall however, be subject to formal clearance from the relevant authorities.
Required Skills
