The successful candidates can be placed in either of the below mentioned positions;
Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta,based on organizational needs;
Prepares in consultation with counterparts (DOE/DSD/PMIU/PCRWR/LGCDD/DOH/ PESRP/PHSRP), other donors (WHO, USAID, NCHD) and supervisor project plans, ensures coordination and implementation of project. Recommends courses of action to the supervisor.
Undertakes field visits to UNICEF project sites for the participation in, and/or observation / monitoring of project activities and local conditions. Prepares routine reports on results of visits and project progress and makes recommendations for increased efficiency and improved programme delivery.
Collects and assembles data and background information with regard to projects and provides updated information on project financial and administrative status for analysis and reporting purposes. Analyzes project status and recommends appropriate adjustments. Prepares tables, graphs or other statistical data for technical review/monitoring purposes.
Provide guidance on technical matters regarding establishment of standards and guidelines for WES facilities, water quality testing, integrated manuals for teachers training on SSHE including health screening & referrals, behaviour change communication for SSHE.
Coordinate with UNICEF Education and Health sections for planning and implementation of SSHE action plan together with integrated School health program.
Attends technical cooperation meetings, programme meeting, prepares notes and undertakes follow-up action and coordination related to SSHE action plan implementation and monitoring.
Drafts sections of donor / media, annual and other reports, as required by HQ.
Undertakes arrangements for visits to project sites for government, other partners and where appropriate – donors / media - which include providing information and briefing on project activities and status.
Drafts programme budgets, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of coding in accordance with PIDB system. Drafts and issues updated status reports.
Any other assignment as assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills
LANGUAGES
Fluency in English and another UN language required. Knowledge of local working language of Punjab will be an asset.
